Authentic Bites Dumpling House

A few weekends ago, I took my family to Authentic Bites Dumpling House along Newcastle Street in Northbridge. Since my dad heard about this place, he really wanted to try it out. I love dumplings and would not pass up a chance to go back. It was actually my second time at this dumpling house. Service generally isn’t the forte of most Asian restaurants and Authentic Bites was no different. The food was pretty good but it’s very much in-and-out kind of service. The dishes however are reasonably priced, which makes for a economical meal.

Steamed prawn & luffa xiao long bao ($13.50 for 8 pieces)

Pan fried kimchi dumplings ($12 for 12 pieces)

Vegetarian dumpling noodle soup ($10 including 6 pieces of dumplings)

All in all, Authentic Bites is one of those places I wouldn’t mind going back to for some quick, delicious and no-fuss meals. Unfortunately given the popularity of the restaurant, especially on weekends and Friday nights, they don’t take reservations. Your best bet is to head in early to beat the queues.

Thanks for stopping by today.

J.
