I can’t believe it, we’re already a third of the way through 2025 🤯
April was a busy month for travel, social activities and entertaining guests. We flew out to Pennsylvania for a wedding, hosted a couple of friends who stayed with us in Houston for a week and did a short road trip through Tennessee with friends.

March and April 2025 has just flown by.
In March we ticked off another bucket list item—seeing cherry blossoms in Washington DC!
But also tried to spend more time in Houston experiencing more delicious food and events. With only a few months left of living in Houston, we’re making a conscious effort to get out and about more in Houston.
It was also a creatively exciting month, as I finally started writing on Substack (more on that next!)

The first 31 days of 2025 has come and gone.
I’m sharing this later than I hoped but better late than never.
But it was an eventful month that included saying goodbye to family, a trip to Miami, seeing the American Alligator, checking out a premium airline lounge and snow fall in Houston.

Enter monthly recaps.
This is a new series of posts where I recap the life lessons, travel and photography highlights for the month.
At the very least, it serves as documentation of our time abroad.
But more importantly, I hope to give you tips, recommendations and insights from the perspective of a travelling photographer and a expat experiencing American life.
The overall theme for December is family and travel.
My husband’s family were visiting from afar to hang out with us for Christmas and ring in the New Year in the US.
