Lounge Review: Inside Amex Centurion Lounge Las Vegas Airport

In 2021, the Las Vegas airport Amex Centurion Lounge was refreshed and reopened to the public.

We were in Las Vegas back in August 2024, but didn’t get a chance to visit the lounge when waiting for our flight back to Houston as the wait list for the lounge was 20+ people long.

In November, we were back at Las Vegas airport after a 11 day trip driving through Utah, Arizona and Nevada.

This time it was a Monday and the airport (and lounge) was much quieter! No waitlist to get into the lounge.

We had about 30 minutes at the Las Vegas Amex Centurion Lounge before it was time to head to our gate to catch our flight.

Lounge Review: Inside Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge, Sydney

There are two Star Alliance business class lounges at Sydney Airport—Air New Zealand International Lounge and Singapore Airline SilverKris Lounge.

When we flew United Polaris business class from Sydney to Las Angeles for our move to the USA, we got the chance to check out both lounges.

Flight Diary: Flying on United Airlines Boeing 787 Polaris Business Class (Sydney – Los Angeles)

A year ago in August 2023, we made the big move from Perth, Australia to Houston, USA.

It was quite the journey of taking three medium to long flights and crossing multiple time zones to get to the literal opposite side of the world.

Around 21 hours of flight time and 5.5 hours of airport layovers.

We were leaving cold and rainy wintery Perth and landing in hot and humid Texas. Apparently it was Houston’s “worse summer”. I couldn’t have agreed more, with 38 to 42 degrees celcius temperatures for a couple of months.

We were lucky to fly in business class for the all segments of the flight.

The United Airline Polaris Business class was the international segment and the longest of the three flights. Naturally that was also the flight that had the most to experience and share.

So lets dive into how it went.

Review of Melbourne Qantas Domestic Business Lounge

On my way back to Perth from Melbourne, we checked out the Qantas Domestic Business Lounge in Melbourne Airport. I’ve been here a handful of times and it has a similar modern interior design to the Perth Qantas Domestic Business Lounge. Like the last lounge review, this is an experiential review of the lounge in Melbourne. The Melbourne lounge is dubbed one of Australia’s best domestic lounges. Lounge Review: Inside Qantas Domestic Business Lounge, Perth

In Australia, Qantas being the main national carrier, has one of the most extensive airport lounge networks in Australia. This post is a bit different to my normal photography writing and content I normally share on here. This experiential review of the Qantas Domestic Business Lounge in Perth falls more in the travel and travel experiences wheelhouse. I will probably start to share more of these type of posts now that the travelling has opened up more. This is by no means a comprehensive lounge review as there are plenty of travel hack and lounge blogs out there whose primary purpose is on that topic. My approach like most of my reviews are based around my thoughts, experiences and sharing my photography along the way.
