Chinese New Year Lanterns at Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang

Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang

Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang is one of Penang’s popular tourist attractions. During the Chinese New Year period, the temple is particularly popular with both tourist and locals. The temple is lit up throughout the night during the 15 days of Chinese New Year. You can see the lights of the temple from a distance. Leading up to the temple are also hundreds of lanterns lighting up the streets. We attempted to go to the temple twice, and we saw plenty of traffic on both nights. I did manage to capture the streets and the temple lights from afar which I quite liked. Enjoy the photos below.
