Australia is a nation big on sports. The Australian Football League (AFL) or “footy” is Australia’s iconic sport. The sport that Aussie kids grow up with. I’ve always wanted to watch a game to have a live game experience.
The perfect opportunity came up a month or so ago. A friend of mine, who is an avid Fremantle Dockers club fan, couldn’t make it to a home game. She gave a friend and I her members’ passes for the game. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon to watch what turned out to be an exciting game between Fremantle Dockers and Port Adelaide. Dockers hasn’t performed particularly well this season and people were expecting Dockers to lose. It turned out to be a very exciting and close game. Dockers really gave it their all. The vibe is so different watching it live versus watching it on TV. I’m glad I finally got to experience it live.
