The new City of Perth library

The newly opened state-of-the-art City of Perth Library is a beautiful piece of architecture. It’s contemporary in design. There is plenty of space for people both inside and outside of the building. From rooftop open area reading areas to study rooms for students. The addition of the cafe on the ground floor is a nice touch for those who want to sit back with a cup of coffee while browsing the papers or magazines on offer.

I enjoyed photographing the library and was pleasantly surprised by it’s collection of books and resources on offer. Heading up to one of the open air balcony levels, you get a beautiful view of Perth city. I wish I was still working in the city. The library might have become one of my regular haunts.
