Walking from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach

This is the third and final photo essay on my Sydney beaches and bays series. Bondi beach in Sydney has got to be Sydney’s most famous and iconic beach. I live in the west coast of Australia where there are plenty of beautiful and untouched beaches all along the coast. I was still thought Bondi is a beautiful beach.  By the time we arrived by bus from Watson Bay, it was after 4pm in the afternoon. The golden hour light is a great time to take photo. We spent a bit of time walking along the beach and checking out the graffiti art scattered along the walls.

We had a bit of time to spare while we waited for my friend to knock off work at Bondi Junction. So we decided to grab a drink at Bondi Iceberg Club. Sitting outside on the balcony, we had a great expansive view of Bondi beach and the iconic Bondi Baths. On the day we were at Bondi Iceberg Club, they were holding some sort of premier function for the game Gears of War 4.

After my friend arrived we started our 6km walk from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach. Given the time of day we were doing the walk, the golden light hitting the scene made for a beautiful walk. It’s well worth the walk if you have a couple of hours to spare. You’ll see some fantastic coastal views, beaches and rockpools. You’ll also see some beautiful (and expensive) houses along the way. By the time we arrive at Coogee Beach it was night fall, just in time too given it was getting quite dark.

Thanks for stopping by today.

J.
