On Easter Saturday, I went for a hike with a friend in Kalamunda National Park. We were looking for a relatively short hike given we both haven’t been hiking in a long while. We did some research on TrailsWA and Life of Pye (our go to hiking resource if you live in WA) to find a suitable hike and settled on Helena Pipehead Walk. It’s a relatively easy 5.3km loop. One of the things I enjoy about hiking is that almost everyone you meet on your hike will say hi or have a friendly chat. It was the same when I was in New Zealand and in Tasmania.

As we had a few days off for Chinese New Year, we decided to take the opportunity to take our parents out for lunch and dessert mid-week. We drove up north to Scarborough to Island Market for lunch. It was such a beautiful day out. We were sitting by the window and could see the blue ocean and white sandy beach. It was calming to be enjoying a lovely middle eastern inspired meal with the family. I definitely recommend Island Market to those who haven’t been before.

My favourite combination for casual shooting out and about. It was a lovely Saturday morning at the market.

Being an avid traveller and photographer myself, I was probably their target market!
Since then they have come up with a big line of up camera bag and accessories to help photographers and travellers travel better. I previously reviewed the Wandrd DUO backpack if you want to check it out.
